    We also recommend visiting the extraordinary rock formation known as Markov Kamen (Marko’s Rock), one of Kopaonik’s most famous natural attractions. These massive igneous rock formations, some reaching up to 10 metres in height, stand at the very end of a scenic forest trail.

    Their unusual shapes have inspired numerous local legends over the centuries. According to one of the best-known stories, the legendary Prince Marko threw these enormous rocks from a great distance, creating the formation seen today.

    The Markov Kamen Trail is one of the easiest hiking routes on Kopaonik, making it suitable for visitors of all ages and for those with a more moderate fitness level. Several benches are available along the way for resting, and the trail is clearly marked throughout.
